Pedestrian settles with UM carrier following high-speed collision with stolen vehicle

Nancy Bolton, 71, was driving on a northbound street in Ocala, Fla., when she was struck at an intersection by the driver of a stolen car traveling approximately 100 mph. Bolton’s car spun out of control, causing her to suffer a brain injury, a lumbar disk herniation, and other injuries. Bolton, whose past medical expenses totaled approximately $150,400, is no longer able to live independently due to her pain and inability to care for herself.

Bolton filed a claim with her UM carrier, seeking recovery for her damages.

The parties settled for almost $400,000.
