Jeffrey Krug, 59, served as the tenured dean of Bloomsburg University’s business school. Soon after helping an administrative assistant file a Title IX complaint alleging sexual harassment by the university’s president, Krug became the victim of rumors and spying. The university later terminated Krug, who had been earning $195,700 annually. He now earns a significantly lower salary.

Krug sued the university, among others, alleging Title VII, §1983, and Title IX violations, as well as state law discrimination and whistleblower claims.

The jury awarded $3.9 million.
