Zimmer Persona Knee

The Zimmer Persona Trabecular Tibial Plate is a major component of the Persona knee implant.  On March 12, 2015, Zimmer issued a voluntary Class 2 recall of approximately 12,000 of these components worldwide due to the device becoming loose or creating painful loosening within the joint as a result of inadequate bone ingrowth.  It is presumed that the loosening occurs because of improper coating combined with a design leading to micro-motion that interferes with bone fixation.

The purpose of this litigation group is to coordinate among members and discuss strategy, venue, discovery, development of experts, etc.

This Litigation Group was formed in May 2015.
