Dear AAJ Members:
The New Lawyers Division is currently promoting a document
drive through June 30, 2008. Our goal this year is 125
documents! We are striving to beat last year’s
total of just over a hundred.
All of us at one time or another has asked another attorney
to share a copy of a Complaint to use as an example, or have
had a case where we needed a kick-start on discovery request
ideas. This Library is critical to the NLD. And more so, donating
documents is one of the methods a member of the Board of Governors
can comply with yearly BOG Requirements.
The Document Library is one of the greatest assets the NLD
offers AAJ New Lawyers. Administered by the AAJ Exchange, it
is full of pleadings, discovery requests, briefs, motions, deposition
outlines, etc – and it is FREE OF CHARGE!! These documents
are available online and can be accessed through the AAJ NLD
home page or the AAJ Exchange. Over the past few years, we have
obtained over 500 documents from almost every state. It is one
of the most practical benefits AAJ NLD members receive with
their membership – and, have I mentioned, it’s FREE!!
All of these documents come from our own membership. Therefore,
what we are looking for is AAJ members and NLD Board of Governors
to select 5 documents that they have generated and send
them to our Document Library Committee for cataloging and uploading
on our website. All it takes is a moment to e-mail – that
is all that is required of you! It is that easy. To donate documents
to the NLD Document Library you can email your submissions to either Co-Chair Sach Oliver,
