In this series of AAJ Education's recently launched plaintiff-only Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Ligation Update seminars, the next program will be held on December 4 in conjunction with the December JPML hearing scheduled in Las Vegas, NV. This program will be filled with member resources including case strategies, education, and networking opportunities. Be sure to join the faculty and program participants for a networking reception on December 3.
Networking Reception will be held at 6 pm on December 3. The seminar will be held from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm on December 4.
AAJ Public Affairs will provide an update on the FDA Proposed Rule on Generic Drug Labeling at this seminar on December 4.
From pretrial to posttrial, experienced faculty will present best practices and strategies using recent litigation as examples. During the full day seminar on December 4, faculty will cover pretrial discovery, use of focus groups, motions in limine, opening statements, cross examination of a company witness, cross examination of a defense expert, putting on key plaintiffs’ experts, punitive damages, and closing arguments/rebuttal.
Faculty will draw on litigation examples from recent cases involving Transvaginal Mesh, DePuy ASR, Fosamax, Accutane, HRT, Vioxx, Paxil, Tobacco, Anti Trust Class Action Litigation, Cochlear Implant, and Actos. The seminar will close with roundtable updates on hot topics in litigation including da Vinci Robotic Surgery, GranuFlo, and Stryker Shapematch Cutting Guide Software.
