STAC Call for Judges

AAJ needs your help in judging the annual Student Trial Advocacy Competition (STAC).  The competition is an exceptional opportunity for law school students to develop and practice their trial advocacy skills.  This annual competition relies on attorneys like you to donate time and expertise toward fostering the brightest young legal minds.

Fourteen regional competitions were held March 7–10 in Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Houston, TX; Louisville, KY; Miami, FL; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Raleigh, NC; Saint Louis, MO; Santa Monica, CA; Seattle, WA; and Washington, DC.  The top team from each region will advance to the national finals April 4–7 in New Orleans.  Teams will be judged on their skills in case preparation, opening statements, use of facts, examination of lay and expert witnesses, and closing arguments.

Volunteers needed! Click on "New Orleans" below to sign up directly online.  You may also call AAJ Education at (202) 944-2877, or e-mail education@justice.org to sign up today!
