With over 40 years of litigation preparation experience, Katherine James joins AAJ Education for a two day workshop where you will learn to develop the best witnesses for your case, skills only acquired through hands-on training. During this program structure your witness prep by addressing the concerns of each witness or expert and tailor your approach to their specific learning styles, whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic.  Build trust and an efficient training process through listening and communication with one or several witnesses.  Whether preparing witnesses for deposition, mediation, arbitration, or trial, the communication tools taught in this program will have an immediate impact on your interactions with clients and experts.

Katherine James is the cofounder of ACT of Communication in Culver City, California whose workshops have trained more than 30,000 lawyers and whose work as part of trial teams has taken more than 1,000 cases to trial. Her expertise is in helping to make attorneys more effective in live communication as well as to prepare witnesses for deposition, mediation, arbitration, and trial. She has been a part of the faculty at various trial colleges, universities, and law schools including AAJ’s Ultimate Trial Advocacy Course: Art of Persuasion. ACT of Communication’s newest project, What Can Lawyers Learn From Actors?, takes her nationally acclaimed workshops and translates them into a packaged video series with workbooks to maximize the interactive learning experience.

Open only to AAJ Plaintiff Members (Regular, Life, Sustaining, President’s Club, and Leaders Forum) and AAJ's Paralegal Affiliates. This program is limited to 50 participants.
