The plaintiffs alleged that the trucking company was negligent for entrusting a tractor-trailer to a driver with a sleep disorder. Suit also alleged negligent retention based on the trucker’s driving record, which included at least six prior accidents. The parties settled for $4.8 million. Doe v. Roe Trucking Co.
